KINGSTON, Jamaica:
Former contractor general Greg Christie has joined calls for the Government to undertake an audit of the finances of the JUTC.
The Opposition has been leading calls for the audit while rejecting the fare increase imposed yesterday.
Christie, who was commenting through his official Twitter account, says the JUTC should disclose the particulars of the company’s board, management and consultants in addition to the compensation and benefits paid to them including Managing Director, Colin Campbell.
He also said he was alarmed by deficiencies at the JUTC.
He referred to the fact that the JUTC’s website still lists Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin as the company’s managing director.
The admiral resigned more than a year ago.
