He'll do whatever the military-industrial-complex tells him... he's their chief employee/stooge.
At this critical moment in world history.. at best Obama's political career and at worst his life, depends on him doing their bidding. Presidents who have the guts to buck the shitstem may end up dying in office... e.g. Kennedy & Lincoln

Hhhmmmm!!! I wonder why they didn't go after Lyndon Johnson who DID far more for civil rights than Kennedy, by designing the Great Society legislation, that had the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Voting Rights Act of 1965, Immigration & Nationality Services Act of 1965 and Civil Rights Act of 1968???
That's a fair question.. but how do you know they didn't "go after him"?? Here are some points to consider
1. MLK with tacit & overt support from John & Robert Kennedy already let the civil rights genie out the bottle to be an unstoppable force before Johnson arrived... All 3 were killed. I guess you believe in political coincidences
2. Johnson had little choice but to go along with the civil rights program which had popular support among Democrats largely through the assassinations, riots etc of the 1960s
3. Johnson stepped up the war in Vietnam to another level... a war through which the USA eventually killed 2+ million Vietnamese... That probably earned him some brownie points with the Complex
4. Johnson was unable or unwilling to stand for reelection ...

NO!!! I deal with what's REAL.....After working for the gov't I have learnt, years ago, not to believe or trust what is written & broadcasted. Besides sports, what other "news" posts have I ever made???

I'm not referencing any posts of yours previous to this thread....only what's herein.
Seeing that you're skeptical of both media and government.... what's your belief re the probable forces and motives behind the murders of King, John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy?

Never questioned nor doubted that King's assignation had to do with his views & actions in the civil rights movement......JFK & RFK, that was not related to the civil rights movement.
If you get the opportunity to talk to anyone who was "deeply" involved in the movement, they will tell you that Johnson was undoubtedly the man that had the "power" to get the necessary & meaningful legislation to pass. One of the MAIN reasons that JFK's team "courted & ultimately got" Johnson to be vice-president is that he had the "power" to get legislations to pass & fail, because of his "relationship" with the "big boys" in Washington......So why go after the "front man" & not the man with the "real power" to change things???..........And the relationship with King & the leadership of the civil rights movement with JFK & RFK wasn't a "cozy" one, as they had a few "secret" face to face showdowns that forced the Kennedys' hands, and the Kennedys' objected to many of their actions, including the March on Washington.

I see... so what were the Kennedy assassinations "related" to?

Linear thinking like this often doesn't capture the smoke & mirrors of behind-the-scene scheming by power elites. Who, how and when the Complex goes after its objective is, by design... a riddle wrapped in an enigma. That way it's hard to trace the true authors & objectives of the plot. Please refer to Sun Tzu's The Art of War.
We don't know what Faustian bargain Johnson may have struck to save his redneck
Could have been an agreement to ramp up the Vietnam war... killing a million+ in his time in office

This tactical stuff is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.
The fact is the Kennedy administration marked a sea change in the civil rights struggle due to RFK & JFK support in the White House... the genie was out the bottle and could not be put back in.
There's a reason Black Americans seem to venerate Kennedy..while Johnson is an afterthought

Well Jonhson had his opportunity(by default),what did he do?The investigation of the murder occurred under his watch.Kenedy from the get go focused on changing the status quo on militarism and the CIA.Kenedy or Johnson, who you think they would prefer?
Bottom line, the attorney General at the time, the president's brother, alluded to Johnson being complicit, why, and wasn't he from the inner circles?
The march on march on Washington is historically etched in stone but MLK made concessions signifying the undue influence the shadowy forces had on his movement and commitment. It was diluted.....
Rockman, don't believe everything that's printed & reported about this family. America has a love affair with fiction & fairy tales, and "Camelot" is at the top of the list.....As I said before, "Truth is stranger than fiction."
A few things I'll say - First of all Johnson was not close to JFK, and many in Washington didn't care for John. That's a result of his father's actions, who was a very devious & crooked character. Joe was the one that got Johnson on board, through a "mutually beneficial agreement", because LBJ had the power to get certain things accomplished for John, plus it was no secret that John's election was "bought". One of the MAIN reasons why they weren't liked or trusted was that they were only for themselves & what benefited them......That can't work in politics. You have to repay who helped you get there & who helped to get things done......A great deal of the family's wealth was from insider trading & dealings with organized crime; Organized crime were very helpful in John's election; They were complicit in having organized crime work with the CIA to overthrow & get rid of Castro, starting with the ill-fated Bay of Pigs Invasion......Can't want to wallow with pigs & think you're going to get up smelling like roses.
