"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Who says he lives in Jamaica ?...rumour is these contract killers live off the Island and only fly in to work , i.e Mathis. They had year and make of car ,strong leads that ended at the airport.Military inteligence was involved in trying to solve that case (school friends) and of course police.Still unsolved.

How would the clear picture prevent him from leaving if he wasn't identified yet?

And that is assuming that he left through the airport. If he was illegal how would he have cleared immigration in Canada even if he got past Jamaican authorities.

                      Hell no!

Their job is not too obfuscate the court with all sorts of spurious allegations that have little to do with anything. Their methods are corrupt and only help to release hardened criminals into society. I regard them as I do those criminals!

you sound like your police friend. Do good investigation and prosecution and you don't have to worry about them.

You do know that implicit in what you are alluding is further downward descent in moral decay and lawlessness?

Imagine you are suggesting some favored few receive 'best defense' in our courts? ...you alone being the decision-maker? ...who else joins you on that elite team that take onto selves the right to make such determination? ...make discriminatory judgment on who should be afforded a proper defense???

...reminds of those against the US government extricating Bowe Robert Bergdahl from the clutches of the Taliban?

                          Dangerous! ...very dangerous path!
