In the first five months since Colorado legalized marijuana, homicides in Denver fell by more than 40 percent, according to government data. The new data from the Mile-High city, one Louisiana lawmaker said, might help persuade his colleagues in the legislature who opposed marijuana law reform during the recent session that lowering penalties for possession of the drug in the Pelican State won't cause a dangerous spike in crime.

Leaders will be faced with an unemloyment problem and they cant hide behind ganja anymore. What they do with the revenue from heavy regualtion will be they key, it has to be regualted heavily to keep the price at a decent level(tax the **** out of it ) thats why ticketing wont work, unless they are working towards a middle ground, where zoning and age limits is the objective.

D.C. residents urged to boycott Md. shore to protest congressman’s marijuana move

If you’re a District resident planning to vacation in the Maryland havens of Ocean City or St. Michaels this summer, Mayor Vincent C. Gray (D) and some D.C. activists would prefer you choose Rehoboth Beach, Del., or Chincoteague Island, Va., instead.

A week after Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) successfully attached an amendment to a House budget bill that would overturn the city’s marijuana decriminalization law, Gray and the District’s largest voting-rights advocacy group said city residents would be better off vacationing somewhere besides Harris’s district, which includes all of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

“I don’t think we should support someone who doesn’t support us, who doesn’t support democracy, period,” the mayor said Wednesday after a news conference at which he decried Harris’s actions as “hypocrisy at its worst.”

      Why? The criminals continously spaced-out?

...Jamaica's crime problem needs 'tough' solutions. ...getting stoned is not it!!! ...neither is introducing the old cash crop to the light!!!
