AUDIO: Calls for Commish to comment on claim convicted cop is image of JCF
Published: Wednesday May 14, 2014 | 1:24 pm with audio | 0 Comments There are more calls for the Police High Command to respond to a statement made last week by a Deputy Superintendent following the conviction of Senior Superintendent James Forbes.
Forbes was convicted for attempting to pervert the course of justice in connection with an alleged bribery case involving businessman Bruce Bicknell.
Following the conviction, Deputy Superintendent Roblin Wedderburn said the decorated senior cop Forbes will remain the image of the force.
Callers to radio programmes and letter writers have been demanding that the Commissioner address the issue.

Contacted this morning, Commissioner Ellington directed our queries to the head of the Police Corporate Communications Unit, DSP Steve Brown.
Pressed for a response, the Commissioner said he was in a meeting and insisted that DSP Brown be contacted.
However, efforts to reach DSP Brown were unsuccessful as calls to his cell phone went unanswered.
