    The Caribbean Coastal Area Management (C-CAM) Foundation has now received funding to carry out a cost effectiveness comparison of developing a port at the Goat Islands versus the Kingston Harbour.

    C-CAM does conservation work in the Portland Bight Protected Area where the Goat Islands are located.

    There has been much public debate since it was announced that China Harbour Engineering company was looking to build a transhipment port on the Goat Islands.

    This is a distraction designed for PR... but it will fool some people

    Any comparative "study" done without knowing the nature and scope of the Chiney development will not be worth the paper it's written on...

          True, thats why the need for their study seeing they cant get any info from the government.

          They will present it gov will reject it and more pressure will be put on gov for transparency with a credible study.

          Too much negativity for this to happen and it will only get louder.

                I like data so studies are good. The problem is conducting a "comparative study" while being ignorant of what you're comparing
