1. Why im naw tell di nation dat im nuh support nuh "Chiney enclave" pon Goat Islands?? In fack it seem like im waan support di sell out by di Termites... wha dat Ben??
2. Mek im know seh dat Jamaica is already a "logistics hub"... since KCT is already the largest transshipment facility in the region. The GOJ project is aimed at a "global logistics hub".
3. The Goat Islands proposal is NOT part of the GOJ "global logistics hub" initiative... from the limited info released it seems it's a separate CHEC project aimed at supporting CHEC's regional port development projects...with a light industrial park component on the backend

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Opposition leader Andrew Holness says that creating a trans-shipment port at Goat Island will not automatically make Jamaica into a regional logistic hub.
"I am sure that by now every Jamaican has heard about Jamaica becoming a logistic hub. Incidentally, less has been said about Jamaica becoming an International Financial Services Centre but; both are possible opportunities for Jamaica,” Holness said in making his presentation to the Budget Debate in Gordon House Thursday.
“We should be careful not to believe however that a trans-shipment port at Goat Island will make Jamaica a global or regional logistic hub. The two things are not the same though connected. Jamaica has always been close to the major shipping routes and we have had a port for a long while," Holness said.
