Every democratic country I can think of supports the leader of the opposition. The leader of the opposition is entitled to communicate on behalf of parliament, travel and research amongst other things. Why shouldn't the state support this office within reason???? Maybe you want to look into how democracy function. Do your research on other democratic countries.

When someone has a 1970s socialist mindset it is likely that they wouldn't see any use for an official opposition.

          Lock dem up!

LOL. Maybe them should give it a different name. Something a little friendlier.

btw - On the matter of installment payment for the nurses (or any GOJ) employee's purchase contract...the ultimate responsible for satisfying the debt is the employee's.

Our GOJ - under both JLP and PNP - have always been allowed great latitude on the settling of invoices. Considering GOJ budgets have not improved over the years, these is no reason to suspect that payments would be now not subject to increasing delays...save of course that of the well connected whose payments are sometimes even proffered in advance of service or goods rendered.

Look, Sass: We could wager a guess with great degree of confidence that 'things' are now worse than the 1960s when I first entered GOJ employ. Right?

Karl the fact is these people wage slip said they get the money and it is deducted from their salaries to pay for what they ask it to pay for. Somebody didn't pay over these deductions.

It no matter if it was better in the 60s or not, it is robbery and dishonest for anyone to take out your deductible and not pay it over. A prison work that in most other countries. I can understand stipend or wage increase that is not given, I had that in America but to take someone deductible and not pay it over???. Wage and Stipend can be battled in court but deductible is plain robbery. Can see how you are defending that?
