    EWI Gets Cracking
    Published: Sunday | April 13, 2014 0 Comments
Buoyed by news that Energy Minister Phillip Paulwell is to sign a licence giving it the right to supply 381 megawatts of generating capacity using natural gas as its fuel source, officials of Energy World International (EWI) arrived in the island late last week for a series of meetings.

The meetings, including sessions with Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and Opposition Leader Andrew Holness, are ongoing as EWI officials seek to tie up loose ends and prepare to get rolling on the baseload capacity project.

This project is of strategic importance for Jamaica's future as a foundation of economic competitiveness

Let people of goodwill pray that it succeeds where the others failed

And let the badmind set of yappers continue hoping for failure

In the past 20 years I've seen no solid energy plan from the JLPNP... so nothing is new here

I wish the current effort every success despite its flaws

ok.. pondering yuh inconsistency on the matter.. based on your negative yapping about the Exmar - Korea EWP era of the LNG Pantheon.. when LNG was cheaper...

I guess di LNG ting was not critical then... den again dose were real companies so probably never fit di banana republic modus operandi..

Now wi back on track with di conman ting..

Unfortunately that process was found corrupt by the OCG.. didn't pass the smell test so it collapsed of its own weight

With Robertson involved...par for the course

But that stuff is now as irrelevant as Bruised Gelding

You need to update your propaganda..

<The Office of the Contractor General (OCG) had suggested a conspiratorial relationship involving two public officials and the Exmar Consortium which was chosen to build a floating storage and re-gasification unit for LNG.

The OCG had asked the police and the DPP to investigate whether former chairman of the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica, Ian Moore, and head of the LNG programme, Stephen Wedderburn, used their public offices in a fraudulent manner to elicit benefits for themselves or Exmar Consortium.

This week, the DPP ruled there is no evidence to draw the inference that Exmar’s advantageous position was the result of bid-rigging or corruption on the part of Moore or Wedderburn>

I know facts are inconvenient.. but try dat approach... especially when yuh pretending to be analytical..

Go forth and sin no more..
