Kartel trial: Cop says he saw video of tattooed man swinging pick-axe, asking questions

    Thursday, January 23, 2014

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- A cybercrimes forensic expert, a witness in the Vybz Kartel murder trial, Thursday morning testified that he extracted video footage from a Blackberry phone which showed a light-complexioned man with several tattoos on his neck swinging a pick axe and asking a question.

Detective Sergeant Patrick Linton said in the video, which lasted approximately 2minutes, 17 seconds, another man also with a tattoo with the word 'boss' in bright red ink was gesticulating and asking questions.

i think this is what they call laying the foundation for introducing the video as evidence. some times this is done through voir dire (outside of the hearing of the jury) but it seems that this is before the jury...

The audio is very important too.
This is probably the reason he was denied bail.
I think the surving victim helped in in the disposal of Lizard corpse,we will never know because Kartel's defense is there wasn't any corpse to begin with.
Just maybe the prosecutors could now get one of the defendants to 'turn on' Kartel.

If the phone is a blackberry and the files on the memory card are encrypted then without the password it's virtually impossible to decrypt. No matter what u wanna say about rim and their demise, Blackberries are very secure devices.

Nobody can question that, they are the most secure of mobile devices.

That will have to be their niche market going forward because the mainstream market has been lost.
