Nonsense! Financial Analyst Rubbishes Government's Position On Ganja Legislation Timeframe

    KINGSTON, Jamaica:
Financial Analyst Ralston Hyman says it is unacceptable that the government has no set timeline to enact legislation to legalise the use of marijuana for medical use.

With countries in the US already benefiting from the use of ganja as medicine, calls have been increasing in Jamaica for the drug to be legalised.

However, Justice Minister Mark Golding says while the government is anxious to benefit from the billion-dollar medical marijuana market, there’s no timeframe for legislation to enable that.

Hyman believes the information on the use of ganja for medical purposes is readily available has studies have been done regarding the matter.

He says the government must be put under more pressure to expedite the decriminalisation of marijuana.

Hyman believes earnings from the use of ganja can be used to bolster the economy.

Canadian firm MedCanAccess has appealed to the Jamaican government to move expedite it’s plans to benefit from the US$1.2 billion medical marijuana market.

The company says it is willing to purchase weed from Jamaica as there are thousands of patients who use it for medicinal purposes.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

A rarity but I completely agree with Hyman here.

Cant say I am surprised,if its logical, practical and involves commonsense, expect our government to do nothing at all ,worse yet the opposite and justify it on some B.S like protocols.

            Wi sick.

He is also uniocular a lot of the time. Sometimes he omits information
