Prime Minister insists she's busy working, explaining why she doesn't speak more
    1:08 pm, Thu January 16, 2014

    Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller

    ‹›
Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller has again responded to criticisms that she has not been communicating enough with the Jamaican people, by arguing that she is busy working.

Mrs. Simpson-Miller spoke with RJR News on Thursday morning, following the National Leadership Prayer Breakfast at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston.

"There are some leaders who speak to everything... I really need to get some things done and work every day and I work very hard," she said.

The Prime Minister did not directly say whether speaking to the Jamaican public regularly was incompatible with her stated objective of working "to get some things done."

Concerning the government's priorities for 2014, she said efforts will be made to improve community-based approaches to crime fighting this year.

Dissatisfaction with the Mrs. Simpson Miller's level of public dialogue on various national issues has been a key feature of public criticisms of her administration since her return to office in January 2012.

I wonder what it is *'the public' wishes to hear?

*The capture of an all-encompassing term by her enemies to give appearance that a vast majority or at the least a majority of the citizens are in agreement with 'the calls'.

Dem tek can gwaan play fool...

Your post gives the impression MamaP is refusing to communicating with the citizens...when the noise by those with nothing to do is attempts at wooing the gullible into accepting their nonsense on MamaP as being uninformed and uneducated or otherwise not worthy of being our PM. That attempt to define MamaP as beyond the pale is doomed to failure and could backfire. That is, it may have the citizens draw the conclusion that those attempting to portray MamaP as not worthy are themselves the unworthy ones...not acting in the citizens best interest but pursuing personal agendas or indeed evil goals.
