The New Mexico driver forced to have a series of enemas and anal probes in a failed police attempt to find drugs has been awarded $1.6 million in a court settlement.
David Eckert was subjected to the humiliating search because police claimed he was clenching his buttocks when he got out of his car during a routine traffic stop in January last year.
The $1.6 million comes as Hidalgo County and the city of Deming settle their portion of the lawsuit which claimed Mr Eckert had been subjected to a host of violations.

The lawsuit, filed against police and sheriff's officials in Deming and Hidalgo County, which borders Mexico, alleges Deming police sought a search warrant for Mr Eckert after he was pulled over.
Hidalgo County sheriff's deputies told the Deming police officers Mr Eckert was known for carrying drugs inside his body, according to the lawsuit seen by KOB4.
Police also brought in a drug-sniffing dog, which appeared to detect something in the driver's seat.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.
