    "One of the big lessons that I take away from the Manley years in Jamaica is that you can't help the poor by bashing business," the magazine entitled Finance & Development quotes Henry.
    Henry recalled Manley's famous "five flights a day to Miami" speech in the 1970s, which was seen as void of persiflage by investors. "But Manley went about doing this in a way that was inimical to the market -- and to growth, in hindsight -- embarking on a series of economic experiments that threw the country very deeply into debt and led to essentially eight straight years of extraordinary contraction in the economy," Henry recalled.
    Henry left the island at eight years old during the island's first turbulent period since Independence. The article describes Henry, 44, as the youngest ever Dean in the 113-year history of Stern School of Business. He studied at North Carolina University, MIT and Oxford.
