Who Shot The Sheriff? for Jamaica

THE film adaptation of Who Shot The Sheriff?, a 2012 novel by Vincentian John A Andrews, is slated to be shot in Jamaica next year.
Andrews, an actor, is making his debut as a director. He will also shoot scenes in Puerto Rico for the mystery thriller.
In a telephone interview with the Jamaica Observer, the California-based Andrews said he is excited about the movie.
"Right now, we are moving ahead attaching members to the cast and putting a production team together," he said.
Who Shot The Sheriff? Is set in the gritty enclaves of Kingston. The plot surrounds Wesley Haynes, a reformed narcotics dealer who is accused of shooting sheriff John Brown and his deputy Ron Charles.
Ballistic reports show that the bullets which killed the men matched three guns: the sheriff's, his deputy's and that of the defendant. Only one of them stands trial.
While the lead role is yet to be filled, Andrews says he has identified female singer Alex Nester for a major
part. Nester, who is slated to play Britney, has done backup vocals for Stevie Wonder.
"We want this movie to be organic. The people we put in this role can make it happen," he said.
Jamaican-born Delroy 'Delingo' Lingo will play Lieutenant Graves.
Lingo, who currently resides in Connecticut, is a respected figure in gospel circles.
Andrews has appeared in several television ads and had a bit part in the movie John Q, which starred Denzil Washington.

DLingo is a brother of a former instructor and friend. He was living in the ATL for a while not so long ago.

    Good luck to them.
