Two things.
1. I remember when I got US $ from my family living in the the US in the 60's...we got the equiv. of $0.75 Ja. in exchange.
2. I paid off my BOJ student loan in 1984-85 when the exchange rate was Ja.$5.00.
The decline in the Jamaican currency is an indication of poor overall leadership.
I see folks here jump-pup-an-dung when jamaica borrows from the World band and IMF.
NOTE: Banks are in the business of making money. Jamaica is just like an eejit with a credit card who knows little about money management.
The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough
