              Analyse dis:

              1. Seedless Grape Alumni groups for decades have provided tens of millions of US$ in support for schools.
That support is in direct transfers of money, donations of equipment and the incalculable amount of donated professional time spent in technical advice & volunteer work expended in developing & executing projects

If alumni groups were to stop their programs today 100s of thousands of students would be negatively impacted by that lifeline disappearing... I can speak with authority on that regarding the ~ 2K students at Jamaica College

              2. All this indispensable work is done in relative obscurity with no recognition sought or accorded in Jamaican media.... consequently your response and those of that nature are based on ignorance and a misinterpretation of a line in a typically shallow, unresearched newspaper article

              3. Karlene's (and her NYC-based Union of Jamaican Alumni Association's) outreach is aimed at informing interested parties in Jamaica about the invaluable role of alumni organizations in supporting education for decades.... and since the locals have proven completely inept and vision-less... that the focus of UJAA will shift from mere support to include the TRANSFORMATION that is required

Fortunately a few more evolved Seedless Grape education activists have long since embarked on elements of the education transformation process through a tech application based thrust towards a Knowledge Economy.... over the ignorant objection, indifference or inertia of Jamaicans at home, some of which we've seen displayed in this Rum Bar... wooooiiieee

Let those who sit on their hands at home or abroad be the first to complain while others do the glorious work of supporting Jamaican education... without seeking monetary compensation or recognition

...additional personal testimonial - Ten of millions of dollars and tremendous support in 'kind' to Mannings & Mico University College.

...not to mention additional support to graduates of those institutions in accessing Education institutions outside of the island and support to finding jobs.

Can we say, among other things, these Alumini Associations provide direct support to nation building?

As Ms. Lou would say - Clap dem!

                              That's nonsense of course

It's primarily the job of Jamaicans in Jamaica to produce an acceptable education system... in that job the failure of Jamaicans and our corrupt, inept JLPNP leadership is spectacular

Seedless Grape eaters pay taxes in a jurisdiction outside Jamaica...and any "duty" to Jamaica is driven by those who have charitable feelings towards the country.. it's NOT a particular responsibility

Since you people at home are such woeful failures... some of us are disposed to assist... oftentimes over your ignorant objections, disrespect or indifference

Now go forth, be thankful and shut the fcuk up please.... woooiiieee
