Friday, November 08, 2013 | 12:42 PM
KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Over 700 students from Kingston College (KC) and Calabar High School Friday morning gathered in front of the Half-Way-Tree Transportation Centre in St Andrew to send a message for peace.
School officials Friday morning said the initiative was organised by the Parent Teachers Association from both institutions.
"The move is part of effort to send a message for others to follow that what we need is peace and love among schools," said Albert Corcho principal of Calabar.
He was supported by KC principal, Dave Myrie who said the move was the start of an ongoing initiative which both schools would be working hard to continue.
He made the comment as students from both schools formed a human chain around the Centre singing ‘One Love’ Bob Marley's classic recording.
