    Chamika Miller
A love-crazed parolee wanted for allegedly killing a college freshman in her Queens apartment building last month has been captured, police said yesterday.

Shane Tomlinson, 20, had been on the run since Chamika Miller was shot in the face on April 15, her mother and police said.

"She didn't deserve to die like that. She was going places," said Miller's mother, Karen.

"I'm very happy that he's caught. He has to pay for what he did to my daughter."

Miller, a student at LaGuardia Community College in Queens, was gunned down at 6:15 p.m. inside the Jackson Heights building where she lived with her mom, four younger siblings and several cousins, police said.

She had recently broken up with Tomlinson, who according to criminal records has served time in prison for assault.

Tomlinson, who immigrated to Queens from the island nation of Jamaica, allegedly shot Miller with a .45-caliber pistol, police said.

Details of his arrest were not released yesterday.

He was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence. He was waiting to be arraigned last night.

Karen Miller, 36, said detectives had contacted her a few times over the past two weeks, but she did not learn of Tomlinson's capture until about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

"The police they did a very good job and I thank them from the bottom of my heart," she said. "Now I can have a peaceful night. I'll be able to sleep tonight."

"I was worried about my children, that he was lurking somewhere."
