Police launch hunt for gun-toting women

PORT MARIA, St Mary — The police are this afternoon continuing their search for two women who were involved in last night's shooting of a 36-year-old teacher of Hampstead, St Mary.
Reports from police are that about 10:30 pm, the teacher and the women went to have a drink at a location in Paggee district in the parish, when one of the women brandished a handgun and fired several shots in the direction of the man before allegedly escaping in his motorcar.

He received two gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
The stolen motorcar was recovered by the Police in Islington, St. Mary earlier Friday.
The Port Maria police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist the police in their investigation to contact them at 994-2333, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
