Movado plans to sue MP in failed real estate deal

Lawyers representing dancehall entertainer Mavado are scheduled to file a multi-million dollar lawsuit against a St Andrew Member of Parliament following a collapsed real estate deal.
Tamika Harris , Mavado's attorney told RJR News that the she will be filing the lawsuit next week in the Supreme Court. She said her client is seeking to recover more than J$20 million reportedly paid over to the Peoples National Party (PNP) Member of Parliament.
Its reported that two years ago, the entertainer and the MP entered an agreement to purchase property valued at over J$20 million .
As part of the agreement, the MP was contracted to construct a Town House on the property located in Norbrook, St Andrew.
But according to Harris, the well known MP has failed to hand over a title to her client or construct the Town House. She said her client has decided to file the suit to recover his money.
