Ah little but you have to be very cautious here. Why? China can easily manipulate Ja into being a pawn (just to agitate the US).

One of our problem is that Ja doesn't and research real history. One cannot play music, eat food and sign paper in order to gain a country. Not in this reality;one has to fight by shedding blood; only then the conquered will sign on your terms. Ja was passed over by the English (who fought the Spain to get Ja)to the people in 1962. It's up to the people time to think about whether they truly own the island.
