I would think if such occurs it would be not rare but extremely rare. We need brave committed souls who know what can work, who will, regardless of beatings, press forward and draw others kicking and screaming to 'the work'!

Look at the Air Jamaica debacle. We have an organization that plays a critical supporting role to many other 'industries' - tourism, transportation, farming, appliance traders, service technicians/maintenance and servicing entities...tremendous reach across the country and tremendous numbers of families and individuals...yet because it is a 'loss leader' it is scuttled?

...we have tons of other 'loss leaders' - the school system: it does not directly bring in any funds? - the health care system: it does not directly bring in funds? ....and on and on... but indirectly they all lead to tremendous rewards?
Right? Clearly there were no brave souls willing to bat for Air Jamaica who won the day...and it leaves us at the whims and fancy of private airlines only...as Lazie so tellingly informs.

How many more Lazie's are there. How many more Lazie+ are there who refuse to consider Jamaica...our Jamaica as a place to visit and spend in/on our very important Tourism products? Tens of thousands? ...lost Millions of dollars? ...markets that are no closed down or at the very least vastly contracted?

...and on and on to and in various other areas of our country's economic life...
Guess Westman can speak to some of those from personal experience on his 'hand of help' being rejected?
