  • Zimmerman case - Defense instructs the jury...OKaaaaaaay not

instructs...but asks of the jury: Do not assume?

Then it puts on a video animation of events from Zimmerman's perspective and provides narration as it walks the jury through the animation...interspersed in that narration is, verbatim...
    Let us assume blab-blab...
and this on and about a video animation from the defendant's self-serving - (that is what is hoped right? That it shall serve the defendant's interest? ...right?) - story and one the jury already knows is laced with lies? ...OKaaaay - contains a number of puzzling inconsistencies?

...and that is Zimmerman's 'great attorney'?

I wonder, do attorneys think...or let's narrow it down to this case...do the these attorneys think each member of the jury or at the very least one member of the jury has a hearing or short-memory span or is mentally deficient or any combination of the fore-going? ...or something else that at this moment I cannot think of...????? Perplexed I am????!!!!

Innovative. He is putting Zimmerman's case through visual aids. There is a line there though as he seems to be asking the jury to assume too much and the jury is the finder of fact ... I think that it is objectionable to have those multiple assumptions.

Do you think the prosecutors are allowing him to go down that line because they may think it beneficial to show that the defense is on a 'flight of fancy'=presenting pure assumptions based on Zimmerman's tale???

They don't think that they know that, lol. Seriously, the more you can muddy the water the better it is for the defense. Prosecution has burden of proof.

So what verdict are you expecting? I still say manslaughter.

I am thinking manslaughter as well. I am not convinced that the prosecution proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt. . .

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Maybe an animation in the Defense's view is worth a million. Maybe the Defense thought that they may save time and get the picture of what happened more effectively with the animation. They made sure it showed Martin as the aggressor in the picture, just as they want the jury to believe.

I think they proved it was murder but the jury will give him manslaughter out of pity after all he will be about 60.

The prosecution wrapped it all up nicely as Gamma was alluding to , in one of his post.

The pursuit with a gun , fear, confrontation and the outcome linked to his disregarding a police directive not to and his belief the punks getting away , not to mention his use of the term "suspect" in his interviews shows motive before and after the fact of Martins death...... Where was his fear in all this pursuit with a gun , his admittance of Travon running then skipping away , for him to pursue with no fear , then to find fear when attacked by the child Martin , for him to justify using his gun ..............IT IS MURDER !

X, let me take back what I said. I am making my comment based on what I saw from the open section of the trial. I have not seen the closing of the Prosecution.

The jury is asking questions about guidelines for manslaughter which suggests that they have already put murder aside.
