The US Govt and the Military Industrial Complex has spent most of the past 20 years in stupid, destructive and expensive wars declared for misguided reasons ... the total lifecycle costs of those wars will be north of $3 Trillion (yes with a T
)...all placed on a credit card...(well at least the APR is low).
We are still waiting to see what good has come of these wars and this massive spending
The Big Business class has grown so mercenary and its relationship with the US Govt so corrupt that they conspired to virtually crash the entire World economy with Wall Street Games... With no one held accountable.
One can't even call them true capitalists... just margin gatherers and financial schemers who only respond to quarterly reports...but produce increasingly less real goods
So while Rome burns its rivals grow at 2-3X it's rate and the relative US decline seems inexorable.
