A YouTube video which captured the stabbing death of an eighth grade student of the Anchovy High School in St James has been removed from the video-sharing website.
The more than six minute-long video showing the death of 13-year-old Jamellia Dawkins was uploaded to website just hours after her death.
The incident was captured on video, apparently by another student using a cellphone camera.
Jamellia, who is of Potosi district in Johns Hall, St James, was reportedly stabbed in the neck with a knife after she and another girl got into an altercation on their way home from school about 11:45 yesterday morning.
Up to late last night it was unclear whether the accused teenage girl was apprehended by the police, as it was suggested that she ran from the scene shortly after the incident occurred.
The video of yesterday’s stabbing follows the posting of another video showing the killing of a Penwood High School student earlier this year.
