Why don't we export our produce again?
The market was full of Guava, Jackfruit, Yam, Plantains, Ginep, Mangoes, and many of the fruit we have in Jamaica, all coming from Mexico, Haiti, Guatmala, Brazil and other places. 10 dollar for a box of 9 Haitian mangoes. Yes there is a line of Grace product and one called Ochi Rios, I think from out of Florida and Walker's wood Jerk sause. If you have never been to a farmers market in GA, the goods move fast as people from different culture comes in ad it is Full all day from 9 to 9.
Until Jamaica can supply these places and others with Jamaican goods and I have no doubt it will sell off, we can talk about everything else. We keep on saying we have nothing to export, LIE when mango and guava a stone dog.
We need to see more local Jamaican product that we can buy in more stores at regular prices.
