Christie is very often a jerk no question about that, but his style of telling it like he sees it is also refreshing at times.

Sometimes people need to be told "thats none of your business". Andrew Holness should have told Jamaicans that when they were asking about him home schooling his children.

If the Republican base hate him he can't be all that bad.

The republican base hate him because he didn't plug Romney during his convention speech and then he got chummy with Obama after Sandy. Not because of any policy he has implemented.

The base would have tolerated him running but I doubt he would have won the primary with those socially liberal views. Republican base is just too hard core these days. Now it is almost impossible, Maybe he will consider running on an independent ticket.

Bloomberg/Christie ticket would get my vote whatever party they represent. Honestly I don't really think much of the Democrats, its just that the Republican candidates are ridiculous.
