With the news of Mandelas frequent hospital visits I suspect that this great man does not have much time left in this life. With this is mind I was moved to revisit this early interview of Mandela.
Indeed I remember well as a schoolboy when it was one of the very few videos we had of Mandela and how we could only imagine how great but unlikely it would be if he would ever get out of prison alive. Thankfully he was blessed with a long life and was able to complete the work which defined his life, ie South Africa under majority rule.
I still hold hope that the ANC does not totally lose its way and end up like so many other African movements-turned-political parties, ie an organization that was outstanding at at resisting oppression but failed at governing.
Anyway, here is a 40-ish Mandela.
