Man shot after leaving Iwer’s boat

A 25-year-old man from east Trinidad was shot minutes after he dis*em*barked from a party boat in Port of Spain early yesterday morning.
The victim, Sheldon Augustus, also known as “Bullet”, was aboard the party boat Coral Vision, which had docked near the Breakfast Shed in Port of Spain following a two-hour cruise.
The Coral Vision cruises are operated by soca star Neil Iwer George.
The police said during the cruise, Augustus got into an argument with a group of men .
While in the car park adjacent to the Breakfast Shed, one of the men with whom Augustus had the argument with ran up to him and shot him in his right arm.
The gunman then fled the scene.
Augustus was taken by his friends to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope where he was treat*ed.
He remained in stable condition at the hospital up to last night.
Port of Spain CID officers, led by Supt Ajith Persad, are continuing investigations.
