One of my favourite shows on local TV is
In Good Shape - The Health Show, a program on DW (German) TV. (Yes, it is still on local TV 
)
They always seem to be on the cutting edge of medical treatments. Not saying the big, bad USA might not be doing the same thing, but I am yet to see a similar show on any US channel.
This morning they showed us new treatment for vitiligo, which I believe was discussed here on the Forum a few months ago.
