A St Andrew man who pretended to be a lawyer has pleaded guilty and will be sentenced on May 31.
He is Nelson Quarrie, a 47-year-old labourer of Portmore, St Catherine.
When the case was called up yesterday, Quarrie told the court he collected $15,000 from one client.
The court was also told there are seven new complainants.
Attorney-at-Law Howard Hamilton told the court that a Psychiatric Report is needed before sentencing.
Resident Magistrate Crescenda Brown upheld the bail offer of 1 million dollars.
Quarrie is required to report daily to the Bull Bay police station and observe a curfew from 7 p.m.-6 a.m.
Quarrie was held by the police in Spanish Town earlier this month.
It's alleged that the accused convinced members of the public that he was an Attorney-at-Law.
A senior lawyer became suspicious and checks were made at the General Legal Council where it was revealed that he is not known to the organisation.
