Statement of the Office of the Contractor General Regarding the Award of Contracts to Construct / Repair and the Rental of Shops at the Spalding Market.
Kingston; April 15, 2013 – The Office of the Contractor General (OCG) wishes to advise the public that its Office initiated a formal Enquiry into the captioned matter from as early as March 6, 2013, pursuant to Sections 4,15 and 18 of the Contractor General Act.
The OCG further advises that its Enquiry is ongoing and that material which is in the possession of the OCG is currently being processed by its Officers and, as such, it is not considered prudent to divulge any information at this time.
Pursuant to Sections 20, 21 and 28 of the Contractor General Act, full particulars relating to the OCG’s probe shall be issued according to law.
We wish to, however, use this opportunity to encourage members of the public who may be privy to any information in the captioned regard, to make contact with its Office at 926-0011 or dharrsion@ocg.gov.jm. The OCG wishes to assure members of the public that any information received will be held with the strictest confidence.
