All along I thought riding from Braeton to Hellshire on a regular basis gae me bragging rights regarding cycling, but 156 miles, my epic ride was probably 1 mile, can't imagine doing it 156 times in one day.
Reality stripped me of the that bragging right.

Seems like its supports a good cause as well.
Not a biker myself but I am trying to schedule one of my visits to participate in one of the 5K events like Sigma. They have become quite popular in JA these days which is good to see."It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men" - Frederick Douglass

Last year I did 500 km in six days (Andalucia) of riding and this August doing a 5 day ride in the Cdn Rockies... we'll be covering about 450 kms... again. Right now I am up to four days a week at least an hour of hills every time... so I'm getting there. The hardest part of the JA ride if they follow the profile on the website would be Mt Diablo, after that is downhill literally, and flat.
I ride a mountain bike as I do some trails every now and then... I don't like the turned down handle bars. Anyway, I am trying to get together a group from here to do it. The guy who owns the cycle shop here where I got my bike did it already with a Trini group (in fact one picture on the wall of his shop is him in JA on that ride). I haven't sat down with him yet to get details, like whether their his own support van, shipped their own bikes, transport back to Kgn etc.
Anyway... I'm seriously considering it.
One on my bucket list is Chile to Argentina... looking at December 2014 (God willing).Peter R

I really miss that level of activity.
I recall the days i used to get up at 4:00AM out the door at 5:30AM ...run 6 to 10 miles--then go to work.
I have done several triathlons (mountain bike riding incl. in one part); 3 half-marathons, one marathon and (maybe) hundreds of 10K's races.
After relocating to the South and running a business...my schedule has drastically changed. I still have running another marathon on my bucket list. My muscles still remember...The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough

yeah my sister run in the Peachtree Marathon. She do a few other races. I guess you use the business as your excuse. I think it is now that you comfortable with wifey and EPL games saturday and sunday mornings really don't help
