We can't continue to have our legislators do things(because it have to be done now) and create loopholes that will come back to haunt us royally.

Every village or town in the US have a lawyer for this purpose.
Is this what we ask of our legislators? Even with bright minds in parliament to create the laws just to suit themselves without regards to legality?
