Yes I know this although I am not sure what the question in reference to.
It is not something that is specific to the NY area either. If you live in FL but work out of state you pay state tax on your out of state earnings."It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men" - Frederick Douglass

Jawge this is complex as living in NY and working accross the border in Jersey yuo don't pay most of the Jersey tax. Not all counties charge this tax you are talking about and NYC tax is more than any other county around.
The counties do what is beneficial to them. In many states you don't pay county taxes only state taxes on income. In some you counties they charge sales tax rather than income taxes- Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth. Life is for living and I won't spend my life feeling cheated and downtrodden.

The last time the govt. came with the hotel tax. There was a lot of hullabaloo from the service industry. I in my limited thinking, I thought Ja was in trouble
they were going to close shop. Low and behold they paid and is still here. Common sense tells me that no one runs a business at a loss hence they are still making profits.
Okay long story short with all the austerity; how come these guys don't have their taxes increased? They are making the most on the island right now.
