  • The Mexicans are back! When the real estate

market in Florida crashed in 07-08 one of the very visible changes was that all the Mexican construction workers seemed to have disappeared. I always wondered if most of them went back home (most are undocumented) or they were just lying low waiting for things to recover.

Well it has been quite a while but there is no doubt now that they are back on the job. Quite a few home builders are starting to break new ground or complete projects that were shut down in the big financial collapse.

I see this as a clear signal that real estate is a good investment right now. Most will be timid because they got burnt badly during the bubble, and that is good for those who want to get in early. But the combination of extremely low rates and a still depressed market (banks are sitting on a lot of property that they will slowly put back on the market as it improves) tells me that the sweet spot for purchasing real estate in FL for the next decade or so has begun.

    • Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth. Life is for living and I won't spend my life feeling cheated and downtrodden.

      Correct!
...but you need to be either have deep pockets or access to financing with funds to service loans and provide holding of the property or properties.
