After hearing an interview with Steven Shaw of the NWA, I'm curious if the NWA is needed. After the bridge in St. Mary 'tear dung" the NWA and the gov't kept saying that the the bridge was the responsibility of the Parish Council. However, it came to light that the PC had no money to deal with the bridge and is after the incident the NWA stepped in.
Why not dismantle the NWA? The funds that would go to that agency could go to the Parish Councils; engineers from the NWA could be assigned to each Parish Council etc. This would cut out the red tape and the pointing of fingers. All roads in Jamaica nuh run through a constituency or a PC division?
People can cuss the IMF all dem want, one thing dem right bout, is the need to get rid of these redundant bodies.
