  • Debate on Ganja use tabled

Raymond Pryce the Member of Parliament for North East St. Elizabeth called for a debate on the decriminalisation of Ganja along with the prescribed legal amount for possession.
The MP agued that each year many young Jamaicans and their families were arrested and criminally prosecuted for the possession of small amounts of ganja for personal use.
Pryce who tabled the motion in the House of Representatives on January 22, noted that research showed that Ganja use had expanded for various uses.
