There is no doubt about the vast potential of Jamaican urban-pop artiste Omi. His career has been steadily developing pace, especially after the tremendous international success of his single Cheerleader, so his management team has no plans to slow down.

The latest move of Oufah Media and Production, the machinery behind the talented young artiste, is the production of two music videos for the singles Take It Easy and Fireworks.

The videos were shot last week in Oregon, United States, by filmmaker Tim Cash of Far From Earth Films.

Head of Oufah Media and Productions Limited, Clifton 'Specialist' Dillon, who was also the man behind the tremendous success of Shabba Ranks some years ago, said that shooting these videos at this time was extremely important.

"Once the fire is hot, you have to keep it burning. If we are going mainstream, you have to make sure you know the correct time to do each thing. This is the time to do two more videos to keep him hot and to continue his growth," Dillon said.

The scenes, shot in the snowy regions of Bend in Oregon and in Cash's studio, featured several props including a helicopter and a snowmobile.

After editing, the videos are expected to hit the Internet and television stations by next week.

Late last year, Omi had success with his singles Cheerleader and Standing On All Threes.

Cheerleader was number one on the charts in Hawaii for several weeks and travelled up to number three in Dubai.

The music videos for the songs have also been immensely popular on the Internet site, YouTube, with a combined figure of well over a million viewers.

Why is his music being considered "urban pop".

Too good and creative to be considered reggae or dancehall??!?
