Basic trash pickup, dem really neglect the area. Yuh can imagine the stench, rats, roaches etc.

Basic trash pickup is one thing but the vendors must find better ways to dispose of their garbage. The KSAC can assist by providing more bins, skips or whatever. This pile-up of garbage occurs every single day downtown, and is worse in the holiday season.

Passed thru Coronation Market last week, the first in maybe 25 years or so. Digicel did a good job fixing it up after the fire but vendors peel cane, husk peas and do all sorts of things right where they operate, just pushing the garbage one side. Why can't they place it somewhere where it can be easily removed? Or have someone go thru every hour clearing the aisles of the rubbish.

Instead, at the end of the day, there are mounds and mounds of garbage to swept together and picked up by the NSWMA.

After decades of this, somebody can't see there must be a better way?!!?!?

If only they would follow the lead of beach vendors , now that's a group of people you can depend on to protect common property and keep the place nice and tidy, nuh true

Next to the filth, vendors called out to passing shoppers, trying to secure sales. They seemed oblivious to the raw sewage mixed with mud running along Beckford and Princess streets where a mother sat feeding her baby.
Strong stench from the sewage forced a customer to make a hasty retreat from a section of Beckford Street where a soup vendor prepared to share a cup of soup.

Azan say him caan tek nuh more and locking down. Not sure what to think about that, honestly.
