Agree with you Horts. Everytime the USA makes a move, the Castro goons go back on their promises. Why are they afraid of free and fair elections. I think they know they would lose. Simple as that. I understand the frustration. Cuba is a place I go to every year almost. My God-daughter lives in the city of Guantanamo. I love the Cuban people, but do you think it would be better if the US gave flowers and cookies to the Castro goons. If something is tried for 50 years and fails..... it's probably time for a change in policy (JLPNP tribalists take note ). For 53 years the US has tried assassination, invasion, destabilization, economic embargo et al against Cuba... all ending in abject failure to achieve the goal of regime change.

Cuba is no threat to the United States or anyone else...in fact most countries have normal relations with Cuba and many benefit greatly from Cuban expertise.

Conversely, China is a one party communist dictatorship currently with active nuclear weapons targeting United States cities....and Chinese military spokespeople regularly hint at their use and conduct war games involving said thermonuclear weapons striking US targets in response to what they perceive as acts of containment by the US military....Yet the United States has no problem having that threatening dictatorship as its leading trading partner and even allowing itself to become deeply indebted to China.
