I remember when I went back to the USA in 2003 to work for a very short time, a fellow employee invited me to lunch. This was just about the time of the "weapons of mass destruction" deal with Iraq and he wanted my views on it.

Not being one to mince my words I told him exactly what I felt, that there were no such things, at least not in Iraq and that it was wrong for the USA to target Saddam and Iraq.

Suffice it to say we never had lunch again. And he always seemed to look away when we passed in the mornings so there was no greeting there as well.

Such a pity!
