The trial of Police Constable Rushon Hamilton, who is charged with the 2008 abduction and murder of 15 year old Jhaneel Goulbourne, is set to continue today in the Home Circuit Court.
Constable Hamilton, who was charged after the teenager was abducted from her gate in Harbour View, St Andrew by gunmen travelling in a van, went on trial yesterday.
Jhaneel has not been seen since her abduction.
Investigators reported that she was taken away just days after Constable Hamilton was charged with sexually assaulting her.
Government prosecutors yesterday alleged that the teen was killed after she filed a report with CISOCA against the cop.
The court heard testimony from the older sister of the deceased.
She told the court that she last saw her sister on October 24, 2008.
Under cross examination, the sister admitted that Jhaneel was a troubled teen.
Defence attorneys sought to solicit from the sister that the teenager was having an affair with another policeman stationed at the Harbour View Police Station at the time of her disappearance.
She denied having any knowledge of her sibling dating a policeman.
