Let me ask you if you see the work of CURE and how they have achieved something the opposition or the government couldn't and failed to deal with then you will understand advocacy at work.

Democracy is much more vibrant with advocacy groups. They may represent a minority but it gives them a voice to challenge and keep government and businesses honest. Don't tell we don't need them. We have too many corrupted government office, law officers, judges etc.

The fact is we can put up smokescreen but is this real accountablility and laws are been enforced accross the board?

Are we anywhere closer to ending wholescale corruption or we making examples of a few? What of the other high profile cases that are not been dealt with?

My point is unless we pressure the authority as was done with Golding we will not get it done. From time to time we have a few high profile cases as the judge in Mandiville and Heaven's sons, as the Spanish Town inspector a few years ago but any party that take power and the corrupted civil service, can they be depended on to enforce these laws? or as JFJ and other do we have to keep them on their toes and force them to uphold the laws and constitution?
