Members of Russian punk band ********** Riot pleaded not guilty to charges of hooliganism over an anti-Vladimir Putin protest at Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral.
The Russian Orthodox Church reportedly accused them of blasphemy based on their performance.
The group said although they were pleading not guilty, they are prepared to apologise.
They face up to seven years in prison.
