Willi was anyone ever really convinced that the person attacks on Portia by Phillips and Knight could have papered over so quickly? My concern is that the need to acquire power is so overwhelming that the fact that there are huge rifts that exist that could undermine the party/government is overlooked and now who suffers? The country, because our leader is not or cannot lead!!!!

PNP win on an economic lie. Go back to their campaign. Everything they said on economy was all a lie.

Portia said 2 weeks to negociate deals.
She said last PNP government passed 14 IMF tests
Phillips said no lay offs, growth, stability and new IMF deal
            Lisa said recession was over.

I could go on and on. I don't know how the so called analysts and academia let them get away with it.

The current government could have won by putting concrete plans in place but they choose not to do that and come in bumbling worst than any other.

I don't think they won because of those false promises. Most Jamaican voters are totally out of tune with IMF tests and deals. None of that wins or loses elections.

The JLP destroyed their political base in the 90s. They were able to get a close victory because people were fed up of the PNP.

While in power they displayed that they had a more competent economic team than the PNP but they got themselves caught up in the Dudus saga and all the lies and cover-ups that went along with it. It was extremely damaging.

That maybe true but why not plan and come straight on the economy why you have such an advantage????

Again the Analysts failed to point out the untruth. The few people who were saying it was shouted down. Is this the way we want our economy to run?

They had the Dudus advantage but should have come much better on the economy. Now they are in a tailspin.

They are but this should not have surprised anyone.

Why would we expect that a govt that could only manage 1% growth when the rest of the world was experiencing 8-10% growth, could come back 4 years later with the same team and start delivering?

I would not have voted for Bruce after all the lies he told, but when he walked away I would have chosen Holness over Portia. Portia has something to offer, I see her as a Minister of Labor, Minister of Culture/Sport or roles like that. But a PM she is not.

I called for Bruce to resign very early. I wasn't 100% sold on Andrew, I would have rather Tufton. My major problem with Portia is the first time around she got chances to signal some changes and she didn't so why would I think she would the second time around?

My major problem with the PNP is the their 4 years in opposition they kept on running down power and didn't look into themselves and make changes needed to move forward. I have nothing against Portia, I just want to see progressive policies and our economy grow consistently.

The PNP won for the same reason every non-incumbent Party in the Region won... mother of all recessions (not the mother of all Garrisons).

The PNP were also well funded.. dem mussi did win lotto..

Fact because this was what being fed to you? If they need her to win elections (contrary to what you said). You said PNP would be in the wilderness for many years to come and andrew was the game changer. Fact is Andrew would beat peter phillips; had PP been the leader of the PNP.

Since the old guard now depends on PSM that in itself is power for Nanny P. She could leverage this power anytime. Your argument just don't make any sense.

                            I said no such thing.

your argument is senseless as if she had real power, what she waiting on?
