The Digital Yard Seedless Grape Foundation is pleased to announce that it's super talented team of Robotics Mentors from our Lead Academic Partner, UTech, today conducted a demonstration at Kingston College, one of the two storied high school franchises sharing North Street.
Our IEEE student-mentors displayed their own achievements in robotics and prepped the enthusiastic group of future KC engineers and technologists for the Digital Yard Robotics Competition planned for a Spring 2013 launch at the Alfred Sangster Auditorium located at UTech's Papine campus.
In attendance were members of the KC Tech Club and Science students from the tenth Grade. The students were overwhelmed with the opportunities presented to enter the field of robotics, both for their own self development and the greater glory of another field of battle to represent their school in competition against decades long rivals.
Digital Yard Foundation welcomes KC to our family of paradigm breakers infusing Jamaica's calcified education shitstem with new technology, new modes of learning and innovative knowledge transfer featuring unprecedented collaboration between tertiary, secondary and primary sectors. This collaboration is buttressed by a public/private partnership encompassing local and foreign elements.
The Digital Yard development model has no analogue in the World and is a national example of the "All Hands on Deck" effort needed in all sectors to drive Jamaica's progress.
