Robin Gibb, singer with the legendary British band the Bee Gees, died on Sunday aged 62 after a lengthy battle against cancer, his family said.
Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb scaled the heights of the pop world in the 1970s with disco hits including "How Deep Is Your Love", "Stayin' Alive", and "Night Fever".
The band notched up record sales of more than 200 million since their first hits in the 1960s.

That’s because Barry Gibb’s (the Bee Gees) and Philip Bailey’s (Earth, Wind & Fire) falsetto can be a challenge. Singing falsetto parts is not easy at all.

Russell Tomkins, Jr., lead singer for the Stylistics, is another truly outstanding falsetto voice. The first time I paid attention to the art of falsetto singing was as a little boy listening to Clyde McPhatter’s version of “White Christmas” (he attempted falsetto in a part of this recording).

RIP Robin Gibb (his brother Maurice Gibb died almost a decade ago).
