  • Asafa o Asafa nu badda with it this year

THE participation of former men's 100m world record holder Asafa Powell in Saturday's Jamaica National Jamaica International Invitational (JII) is uncertain as the sprinter says he is still nursing a groin injury.
Powell was due to compete in the 200m where he was due to go up against IAAF World Championships 100m champion Yohan Blake, in what was one of the most highly anticipated clashes.
Yesterday, at the launch of a business initiative, Powell said he was not sure he would be ready for the race and checks with his MVP camp this morning confirmed it.
Powell, who has run the 100m in under 10 seconds over 70 times in his career, more than any man who has ever run the event, has had several injury setbacks including at last year's IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea when he withdrew from the championships.
A number of World and Olympic champions led by double world record holder Usain Bolt, and Blake, along with a bevy of international athletes, will take part in the meet, set to start at 5:30pm.

if Blakes beats him in the 200m then its not a 'shame and disgrace.' Perhaps we need to send him to run with the females in the 200m! Tired of this hide and seek business.

One could think he ran from the one cause Bolt inna it, and run from the two cause Blake inna it, so him can try the 4 since no real bigname nuh inna it.
